When we first started having yearly retreats for the CCS Faculty at the Jesuit Retreat House, we were assigned to different rooms with different people. Most of our roommates would complain that they couldn’t sleep because of our loud snoring and odorous farting. So the next year, they put us all in one room. Welcome to the Orchestra Room!

The original Orchestra Room was Macoy, Rico, Eric, Lester, Carlo, and Doodz (the most quiet of them all). ;p

To my dear Seniors of 2013, Congratulations! You have come to the crossroads of your life like so many of us before you. This is the best time for you to make your own choices. This is the best time to do your own “thing”. More importantly, this is the best time to make your mistakes! ;p I know, I know… that’s harsh. But that’s life! In some film I watched, somebody said that, it’s not how many times you fall down but how many times you stand back up from falling. (it was Batman, I think.) Well, college will be a bit different from what you’re used to. different-er for those who will leave the comforts of home (ie. Cagayan de Oro). There will be a lot of falling down as you begin your journey. You will meet new people, both plastics and real ones… so make sure you know the difference. You will encounter teachers who are… er, difficult. maybe some friendly ones also. But none of them will BEG you to do your projects and take your exams/tests.. like your highschool teachers did. You will, no doubt, encounter the mind-altering effects of alcohol and… er, other stuff. My advice, know when you’ve had enough and always have an escape plan! ;p

My friends, a few days from now, you will feel a sense of freedom like you’ve never felt before! I am excited for you. I bid you good luck and Godspeed on your journey. Make as many mistakes as you can, and learn from them. Live your life. Find love. And not necessarily in that order. I will miss you and I will treasure the (free)time we had together. Always remember your highschool life and highschool friends. These are the best times of your young lives.

so a few weeks ago, i did the backgrounds for the local run of “Wicked”. it was St. Mary’s School’s annual school play and i was invited to be part of the production team. first time for me to do digital backgrounds. it was an awesome experience.

Talked with one of my friends from the early days of airsoft in Cagayan de Oro, I miss the old days when we would dress up like idiots and sneak up on each other for that “kill shot”. Camouflage played an important role in our games, as well as tactical gear. But it was great fun! You really felt like a real soldier.
